GAME HIGHLIGHTS

* Middlebury's Avery McInemy received the puck and skated up the left side of the ice towards Amherst's zone to find Zoë Bown positioned in the left circle. Bown took the shot, where Amherst goaltender Natalie Stott made the initial save, but off of the rebound, Flynn captured the puck and tapped it into the net at 5:03 in the first period.

* The Panthers won the face-off 57 seconds into the second period, and Raia Schluter battled the Mammoths' defense by the boards. Flynn grabbed the loose puck and passed it to Ziegler at the left point, who shot through traffic for a 2-0 lead.

* Lifting the puck up and out of the Mammoth's zone, Stewart sent the puck towards Lester by the line, who took the initial shot. Dann capitalized off the rebound and sent the wrist shot past the pads of the Panther's goaltender with 8:12 remaining in the second period.

* Middlebury's Jordan Hower received the puck at the left point, moved to the high slot, and shot toward Stott, who made the initial save. Britt Nawrocki then skated in for the rebound, but Stott made the consecutive save, maintaining the 2-1 score in the second period with 2:54 remaining.

* At 1:35 into the final period, Middlebury's Olivia McManus collected the puck in the defensive end and passed across the ice to Sabrina Kim. Kim spotted Ferraris by Amherst's left point for Ferraris to then send a wrist shot into the top right of the net for the third and final goal of the match.

* Mammoth Clare O'Connor passed from behind her net to Marie-Eve Marleau, who tipped it to Alyssa Xu for a 1-on-3 toward Middlebury's net. Xu carried the puck to the left corner, spun out of pressure, and found Cara Mancini in the left circle for a shot, sustaining the Mammoths' offensive push in the final minutes of regulation.
