KEENE, N.H. -- Make it six straight wins for the Amherst College women's lacrosse team (6-1) as the Mammoths rolled to a 16-6 decision over Keene State at Owls' Complex Tuesday night.

Becky Kendall had three goals in the victory while five other players scored twice and
Mary Gum notched her first collegiate goal. The Mammoths improved to 6-1 on the season and will host conference rival Bowdoin Saturday at 4 p.m. on Pratt Field at Lehrman Stadium. The Owls slipped to 0-6 overall.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
* Kendall and
Ashley Tucker scored 40 seconds apart near the end of the first quarter, snapping a 2-2 and giving the Mammoths a 4-2 lead after one.
* Leading 6-4 late in the second stanza, goals from
Campbell Moriarty,
Sydney Larsen and
Marina Bevacqua -- the latter's coming with just one tick on the clock remaining before half -- helped the Mammoths pull away.
* The Mammoths scored the first six goals of the third quarter -- extending their consecutive goal streak to nine and their lead to 15-4.
Lauren Friedman and Kendall scored twice in the run.
BY THE NUMBERS:
* The Mammoths doubled up Keene in shots, 26-13, and held a 15-9 edge in groundballs.
