Jeffs Boast Seven Player in Double Figures as they Run Past Middlebury

Brian Daoust leads all scorers with 20 points in just 21 minutes

 AMHERST, Massachusetts -- After a slow start, the Amherst College Men's basketball team came on the in second half and finished with a bang. Leading Middlebury 43-40 at the half, the Jeffs stormed out of the gates in the second and blew out the visiting Middlebury College Panthers 98-81. The Jeffs blew the game wide open on the strength of 62.9% shooting from the field in the second half and strong efforts by sophomores Brian Daoust (20 points, 3-5 from 3-point range and 9/12 from the line) and Erik Kelly (16 points, 4-4 from 3-point range and 4/4 from the line) and senior Chris Ingraham (15 points, 2-6 from 3-point range). In all, the Jeffs sported seven players in double figures and shot an astounding 47.3% from downtown (9/19).

The home win brought the Lord Jeffs to 9-4 on the season and primed the squad for their rematch with Williams this afternoon at 4:00 in Lefrak Gymnasium.
