Senior hurdler Myeh Medina won the NESCAC title in the 100m hurdles and finished second in the 400m hurdles at the NESCAC Championships.

Medina set a personal-best time of 14.41 seconds in the 100m hurdles prelims, then won the NESCAC championship by edging teammate Anastasia Ioppolo in the final to continue Amherst’s recent run of dominance in the event with the fourth title in the last five years for the Mammoths.

A captain of the women’s track and field team, Medina broke the Amherst school record in the 400m hurdles by more than a second, posting a time of 1:00.08 to earn All-NESCAC honors with a runner-up finish in the event with a time that ranked fifth in the nation in Division III this season. She also raced on the 4x400m relay team that earned points with a sixth-place finish, helping the Mammoths finish third in the team standings.

The New York native and computer science major finished her NESCAC Championships career with five career All-NESCAC finishes in the hurdles events. Medina is a three-time All-American, earning All-America honors in the 400m hurdles each of the last two years and as part of Amherst’s distance medley relay team at this year’s NCAA Indoor Championships.
