Warshaw, a quad captain and the team's libero, has been stellar in Amherst's back row all season and was named First Team All-NESCAC. A second team all-conference selection as a junior in 2014, Warshaw has been superb in her senior campaign, notching 488 total digs (5.30 per set), to go along with 67 assists and 19 service aces. Both her total digs, and digs per set, rank second among league leaders. In conference play, Warshaw averaged 5.44 digs per frame and totaled 196 against NESCAC opponents. Playing in all 92 of the Purple & White's sets this season, Warshaw has registered 20-plus digs in nine matches, and has reached 30 digs on two occasions, including a collegiate career-high 38 in a 3-2 win over Bowdoin College on Oct. 16.
Danner earned her third all-conference accolade after being named Second Team All-NESCAC in 2015. A 2013 and 2014 first team honoree, Danner led Amherst with 261 kills this season, averaging 3.00 kills per stanza, and hit at a .282 clip. She also finished fourth on the team in total blocks with 37. In NESCAC play, Danner posted a 3.06 kills per set average and finished with 107 kills en route to a .274 hitting percentage against league foes. Danner amassed 10-plus kills in 15 of the Purple & White's 25 matches, and twice floored 20 kills in a match (Oct. 10 in a 3-0 win at Hamilton College, and Nov. 7 in a 3-2 loss to Williams College).
Warshaw and Danner have helped pace Amherst to a 22-4 overall record and an 8-2 mark in NESCAC play this season. The Purple & White has also secured its seventh overall NCAA Division III Championship appearance, and first since 2010 after claiming the third seed in the NESCAC Championship tournament for the third straight season, and advancing to the semifinals for a third consecutive campaign.
Amherst is back in action Friday, November 13 against Johnson & Wales University in NCAA First Round action at regional host No. 24 MIT. First-serve is slated for 5:30 p.m.
