Jeffs Suffer 3-1 Loss at Tufts

MEDFORD, MA - The Amherst College volleyball team suffered a 30-24, 30-27, 28-30, 30-24 loss at NESCAC rival Tufts University on Saturday afternoon. The Jeffs fell to 11-7 (2-3 NESCAC) on the season, while the Jumbos improved to 18-3 (5-1). 

Rookie setter Sara Heller (La Canada, CA) led the Jeffs, dishing out 46 assists and tallying six digs and three kills, while junior Kristin Quinn (Pacific Palisades, CA) notched 14 kills, two aces and a block. Sophomore Jaclyn DeMais (Hillsdale, NJ) added 14 kills and 16 digs, and first-years Hannah Wirth (Pacific Palisades, CA) and Alison Munzer (Los Angeles, CA) posted 10 and six kills, respectively. Senior tri-captain Kate Raddock (Stamford, CT)and sophomore libero Julie Berkley (Fullerton, CA) combined for twenty-six digs to lead the defense. 

Amherst returns to action Sunday at 1 p.m. at NESCAC host Bates College.
