Second-Ranked Jeffs Roll Past St. Lawrence, 19-7

PANAMA CITY, FL - Seniors Mary Kate Allen (Springfield, MA), Abby Ouimet (Hatfield, MA) and junior Liz Martin (Baltimore, MD) scored four goals each on Wednesday as the second-ranked Amherst women's lacrosse team concluded its stay in Panama City, Florida with a lopsided 19-7 win over St. Lawrence University. 

The Jeffs placed six players in the scoring column, as they improve to 2-0. In addition to her four goals, Ouimet dished out four assists, while classmate Laura Schifter (Washington, DC) added a trio of helpers and Martin assisted twice. Sophomore Kennon Kay (Providence, RI) found the back of the net three times. Senior Erin Beaumont (Summit, NJ) and rookie Scotty Hanley (Sparks, MD) also scored twice. 

Senior netminder Brooke Diamond (Longmeadow, MA) turned away two shots before exiting with a 12-3 lead at the half. Sophomore goalie Olivia D'Ambrosio (Farmington, CT) tallied three saves in the second half. 

Amherst returns to action Saturday, March 29 at 11 a.m. against visiting NESCAC rival Colby College.
