HADLEY, Mass. – The Amherst women's golf team had three individuals honored as the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) announced the 2018 Women's Golf All-Conference teams on Wednesday afternoon.
The 2016 NESCAC Rookie of the Year, junior Morgan Yurosek '20 is an All-NESCAC First Team selection for the second straight year and was a Second Team honoree in 2016. She was the medalist or runner-up in the first three tournaments of the year, and placed among the top 5 in four of the five tournaments in the fall. She recorded a two-day total of 146 (76-70) to win the season-opening Ann S. Batchelder Invitational. Yurosek backed that up a week later by carding a final score of 148 (76-72) at the Mount Holyoke Invitational.
One of three Mammoths to earn All-NESCAC honors, Amherst first-year India Gaume '22 earned a spot on the All-NESCAC Second Team. She finished in the top 10 in four of five tournaments, notching a key performance in the Ann S. Batchelder Invitational where she placed second overall (75-75-149). Gaume also shot +15 (81-76-157) in the Williams Fall Invitational, tying her for ninth in the tournament.
The 2017 NESCAC Rookie of the Year, Amherst sophomore Isabelle Ouyang '21 is an All-NESCAC selection for the second straight year after earning a spot on the First Team last season. She finished in a tie for 10th at the NESCAC Championship (79-84-163) and shot a season-best 155 (78-77) to place third at the NYU Invitational.
