NEW ORLEANS, La. – Five individual Amherst College men's track & field harriers have garnered U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) outdoor All-Region honors across six events, as announced recently by the organization.
The top-five individuals in each event from each of Division III's eight regions (Atlantic, Central, Great Lakes, Mideast, Midwest, New England, South/Southeast, West) earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each of the members of the region's top-three relay teams.
Strong on the scoresheet throughout the entire season, Henry Buren '22 (200m), Troy Colleran '22 (Decathlon), Ryan Prenosil '21 (400m), Spencer Ferguson-Dryden '20 (1500m) and Clark Ricciardelli '20 (5000m, 10,000m) each received an All-Region nod for their efforts on the track this spring.
A total, of 1915 honors were handed out to athletes from USTFCCCA member institutions, which included a near-even split between men's (951) and women's programs (964).
Ferguson-Dryden closes out the spring season for the Mammoths this weekend, completing in the 1500m race at the 2019 NCAA Outdoor Championships.
