The 2018 season will be Roxann Link's 13th as an assistant coach for Amherst. Link brings three decades of experience as a coach, player and official, as she played a vital role in leading the Purple & White to the program’s first ever trip to the national quarterfinals in 2007.
In addition to coaching, she serves as the New England Region Volleyball Association (NERVA) coordinator and scheduler, as well as the Pioneer Valley Interscholastic Athletic Conference (PVIAC) Girls Volleyball Commissioner. Link is also the director and founder of the Western Massachusetts Junior Olympic Volleyball Program, which began in 1991, and has been a Professional Association of Volleyball Officials state-rated official since 1980.
Link coached at Greenfield High School from 1981 to 1984 before spending three years at Greenfield Community College, leading GCC to two undefeated seasons and consecutive New England championships and district runner-up finishes while earning Regional Coach of the Year honors from the National Junior College Athletic Association in 1986. Link also coached and played at the Bay State Games for the West Women’s Open from 1980 to 2002, in addition to competing in national tournaments as an Open Level USAV player from 1978 to 2002 and as an Open Level doubles player from 1980 to 1995.
