Dailey Averages 5.8 Kills Per Set, Named NESCAC Player of the Week

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – Outside hitter Jamie Dailey '21 of the Amherst College volleyball team has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week after leading the Mammoths to a 3-0 start to the season.

Making the most of her first few contests with the Mammoths, the 6 foot 1 inch sophomore transfer is averaging 5.8 kills per set, including a 28-kill performance in a four-set victory over Emerson. A native of Newport Coast, Calif., Dailey is hitting .454, having made just nine errors in 108 total attempts. She also has 32 digs in ten matches, including two double-digit performances, with 14 digs in her superb match against the Lions.

Amherst returns to the court on Friday, Sept. 14 when they travel to Middlebury College for their first conference matchup beginning at 7 p.m.
