AMHERST, Mass. – Amherst College volleyball senior captain and middle blocker Marialexa Natsis has been named Second Team All-NESCAC, as announced recently by the league office.
The 2014 NESCAC Co-Rookie of the Year, Natsis caps off her collegiate career with an All-League nod following a stellar season in which she proved dominant in all facets of the game. Appearing in 102 sets for the Mammoths, Natsis finished the fall second on the team in kills with 284 to average 2.78 kills per set and a .263 hit percentage.
A native of Los Angeles, Calif., Natsis tallied 10 assists, 97 digs and 14 service aces, while leading the Mammoths in total blocks with 77 (six solo, 71 block assists). For her efforts, Natsis also registered a team-high 339.5 points on the season to average 3.3 points per set.
The Mammoths concluded the 2017 season with a 17-10 overall record and a 5-5 mark in conference play.
