    The Mammoths registered 59 total kills and seven service aces, as the Amherst College volleyball team powered to a 3-1 (25-23, 25-11,23-25, 15-12) victory over Westfield State Tuesday evening at the Woodward Center. 
  • Amherst Downs Regis and Saint Joseph's, 3-0 and 3-1, to Sweep Tri-Match Play

    The Amherst College volleyball team swept tri-match competition at Higgins Court on the Regis College campus Saturday afternoon, downing Saint Joseph's, 3-1 (25-15, 25-9, 24-26, 25-17) before sweeping the hosting Pride, 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-13).

    In an thrilling back-and-fourth matchup, just three points separated the sides, as the Amherst College volleyball team suffered a hard-fought, five set loss to Middlebury College, 3-2 (25-22, 22-25, 25-23, 22-25, 14-16) Friday evening at Lefrak Gymnasium.

    Emily Kolsky '20 and Marialexa Natsis '18 tallied 10 kills apiece, but a 18 kill, nine dig performance from Alex Dippel proved to be the difference maker as the Amherst College volleyball team fell to Endicott, 3-2 in a hard fought contest Wednesday evening.

    The Amherst College volleyball team swept tri-match competition at Brown Plofker Gym on the Emerson College campus Saturday afternoon, earning a 3-1 (25-17, 25-13, 19-25, 25-14) win over the host Lions before sweeping Colby, 3-0 (25-20, 25-13, 25-21).
  • Mammoths Fall to Springfield, 3-1 in 2017 Opener

    Amherst claimed a win in the first set and Daria Kim-Percy ’21 and Emily Kolsky ’20 combined for 18 kills, but a match-best 14 kills by Springfield College’s Jen Donnelly helped pace the Pride past the Mammoths, 3-1 (25-20, 21-25, 17-25, 13-25) in Wednesday evening’s non-conference battle at Blake Arena.
  • Volleyball Season Preview: Amherst Returns Talent, Depth for 2017

    Capturing the program’s fourth consecutive No. 3 seed and returning to the NESCAC Championship for the 18th-straight season last fall, the 2017 Amherst College volleyball team starts its bid to build on the accomplishments of last season and return to the league finals for the first time since 2008 on Wednesday, Sept. 6 with a 7 p.m. non-conference match at Springfield.
