HADLEY, Mass. – Katie Warshaw '16 was named the NESCAC Player of the Week in women's volleyball as announced by the league office on Monday.
Warshaw was tremendous in Amherst's 2-0 week, which featured a 3-1 victory over Middlebury and a 3-0 win over Hamilton. The junior libero registered 55 total digs with 27 against Middlebury and 28 against Hamilton to average 7.86 digs per set. Warshaw also added 10 of her 15 assists on the week against the Panthers, and recorded a service ace in each of the Jeffs' two matches.
This is Warshaw's first NESCAC weekly accolade of the season. She has now recorded 281 digs on the season which ranks her second among league leaders, while her 5.85 digs per set is tops in the conference.
