AMHERST, MA -After earning First-Team All-NESCAC honors on Thursday, Amherst College sophomore outside hitter Kristin Quinn (Los Angeles, CA/Harvard-Westlake) was named to the New England Women's Volleyball Association (NEWVA) Division III All-New England Team on Friday.
A Second-Team All-Region selection for the second consecutive season, Quinn finished second in the NESCAC and sixth in the nation in hitting percentage (.426) and first in the conference and 23rd in nation in blocks (1.44/g). She added a team-best 3.59 kills per game, good for eighth in the conference, and was named NESCAC Player of the Week twice over a three-week period. Quinn took home MVP honors at the WNEC Invitational and all-tournament plaudits at the Wesleyan and Hall of Fame Invitationals. As a first-year, she led the conference in hitting percentage (.420) and finished second in total blocks (164) en route to NESCAC and NEWVA Rookie of the Year honors. She was also named to the all-tournament teams at the WNEC and Wesleyan Invitationals.
