WATERVILLE, ME - The Amherst volleyball team posted a pair of 3-0 wins over Bowdoin and Bates, and a 3-1 loss to host Colby College, in NESCAC quad action on Friday and Saturday. Now 8-2 in the NESCAC and 16-3 overall, the Jeffs earned the third seed in the NESCAC Postseason Championship Tournament, where they'll open against sixth-seeded Tufts University on Friday, November 8. Williams College claimed the top seed and the right to host the tournament.
Junior Jess Allen (Chagrin Falls, OH) paced the Jeffs with 32 kills while sophomore setter Annie Hoeksma (Los Angles, CA) dished out 102 assists in the three matches. Senior Irene Lee (Fullerton, CA) also combined to rack up 55 digs.
Amherst returns to action this Friday at 6 p.m., hosting first-round action in the Hall of Fame Invitational Tournament.
