Volleyball Improves to 4-0 with Shutout Win at Keene St.

AMHERST, MA – The Amherst College volleyball team continued to buzz through the early part of its schedule with a 3-0 win at non-league for Keen State College on Wednesday. Junior outside hitter Jess Allen (Chagrin Falls, OH) led the way with 14 kills, while sophomore setter Annie Hoeksma (Los Angeles, CA) dished out 40 assists as the Jeffs improved to 4-0. It was Amherst's third 3-0 win in four matches. Game scores were 30-14, 30-27 and 30-20.

Senior co-captain Erin Dittus (Brentwood, TN) and first-year phenom Kate Raddock (Stamford, CT) chipped in on offense with 10 and nine kills respectively. On defense, rookie Sara Bruggeman (Boulder, CO) and junior Lauren Wong (San Francisco, CA) tallied four blocks each. Senior co-captain Missy Mordy (Issaquah, WA) and classmate Irene Lee (Fullerton, CA) each added 13 digs.

Amherst opens its conference slate this Friday and Saturday with a NESCAC quad match at conference rival Connecticut College.
