Women's Track & Field Wraps Up NEICAAA Championship Action

HANOVER, N.H – Traveling to Dartmouth College, the Amherst College women's track & field team competed at the two-day NEICAAA Championships this past weekend.

TRACK EVENTS

  • Taking to the track in the 800 meter run, Danielle Griffin '18 clocked a time of 2:12.69 to finish ninth overall, while Leonie Rauls '18 claimed 22nd with a 2:15.12 mark.
  • With a time of 4:38.16, Sarah Gayer '21 placed 15th in the 1500 meter race.
  • Hayley Greene '21 crossed the finish line in 19:12.22 in the 5000 meter run to earn 28th overall.
  • Posting a 38:22.47 mark, Olivia Polischeck '21 cut 30 seconds off her seed mark of 38:52.20 to secure 10th place.
  • Kristin Ratliff '20 landed a 15th place finish in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 11:24.74.

The Mammoths return to action on Thursday, May 17 when they compete at the MIT Final Qualifier at 10 a.m. in their last chance to post NCAA Championship qualifying marks.
