HADLEY, Mass – Senior Danielle Griffin and sophomore Kristin Ratliff of the Amherst College women's track & field team have been named to the 2018 All-NESCAC team, as announced Tuesday by the league office.
The top-three finishers in each event during this past weekend's NESCAC Championship at Trinity College garner All-NESCAC recognition, with 54 individuals and nine relay quartets claiming the honor.
Smashing her previous season-best time of 2:17.48 in the 800 meter run, Griffin took gold as the NESCAC's fastest harrier with a 2:12.03 mark in the event, edging out second place finisher Anna Passannante of Williams (2:12.96) by less than a second.
Clinching second overall in the 3,000 meter steeplechase, Ratliff bested her qualifying time of 11:21.62 by more than 13 seconds to cross the finish line in 11:08.07 and earn silver.
