Asare-Bediako Impresses at the ECAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships

WESTFIELD, Mass. - Sophomore Abbey Asare-Bediako of the Amherst College outdoor women's track & field team competed at the two-day 2016 ECAC Track and Field Championships at the Jerry Gravel Track on the campus of Westfield State University Wednesday afternoon. 

Ithaca leads the way following Wednesday's action with 32.50 points, while Oneonta sits in second with 20 points. Rounding out the top-three is Moravian College who posted 15 points during day one. 

Seeded third in the 21-woman triple jump with a qualifying mark of 11.41 meters, Asare-Bediako notched a personal-record jump of 11.55 meters to claim third overall and earn six points for the Purple & White. 

Amherst returns to ECAC action tomorrow, Thursday, May 19 in Westfield, Mass.
