AMHERST, MASS – The Amherst College women's outdoor track & field team placed sixth overall at the eight-team UMass-Amherst Minuteman Invitational Saturday afternoon.

TRACK HIGHLIGHTS

  • Senior Victoria Hensley sprinted to a fourth place finish for Amherst in the 400-meter run with a time of 59.22.
  • Nicky Roberts '18 and Betsy Black '16 claimed first and second place finishes in the 5000-meter run with Roberts finishing in 18:12.29 and Black finishing in 18:22.37.
  • In the 10000-meter race, senior Lexi Sinclair finished second with a time of 39:00.61.
  • The tandem of Leonie Rauls '18, Julia Asin '19, Keelin Moehl '16, and Hensley placed fourth in the 4X400-meter relay with a time of 4:02.97.

FIELD HIGHLIGHTS

  • Becki Golia '18 jumped to a seventh place mark in the high jump (1.56m).
  • First-year Emily Flaherty placed seventh in the triple jump for the Purple & White with a jump of 10.32m.
