Amherst Competes at the NEICAAA Championships

BOSTON, Mass. – The Amherst College women's indoor track & field team completed the two-day NEICAAA Championships hosted by Boston University on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 26-27.

2. Rhode Island College (69.75 points)
3. UMasss Amherst (66.75 points)
4. New Hampshine (49.75 points)
5. Holy Cross (41.75 points)


  • On Friday, Amherst had two runners featured in the preliminaries of the 400-meter dash including Victoria Hensley '16 who finished in a time of 58.54, and first-year Julia Asin who ran to a time of 59.45.
  • Sophomore Leonie Rauls ran a 2:59.65 in the 1,000 meter jaunt that was good for a ninth place finish as she narrowly misssed qualifying for the finals on Saturday.
  • The Purple & White did not feature in any events on Saturday.


  • Amherst returns to action when it competes at the ECAC Championships Saturday, March 5.
