Blake Races in Day Two Action at NCAA Championships

CANTON, N.Y. - Sophomore Karen Blake of the Amherst College women's track & field team competed in the preliminaries of the 100-meter dash Friday night at the 2015 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships in Canton, N.Y., hosted by St. Lawrence University.

Blake crossed the finish line in 12.67, but did not qualify for the finals, which will take place tomorrow, May 23 at 2:45 p.m. The sophomore also competed in day one action yesterday and narrowly missed the finals of the 200-meter dash as she finished 10th overall with a time of 24.95.

Blake's classmate, Kiana Herold, has qualified in the high jump and will compete in the third and final day of the national meet tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. The sophomore enters the event with a seed mark of 1.72 meters. She is the lone Jeff competing in day three action.
