Jeffs Finish 19th at ECAC Championships

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Amherst College women's track & field team finished 19th at the 2015 ECAC Division III Championships at the Blake Track on the campus of Springfield College.

MIT won the meet with 64 points, Ithaca placed second with 59.50 points, and St. Lawrence tabbed third place with 45.50 points. Rowan (44) and SUNY Geneseo (33) rounded out the top five teams in the field of 56 scoring squads. Amherst placed 19th overall with 17.50 points. 

Karen Blake '17 paced Amherst on day two action, sprinting to a second place mark and eight points in the 200-meter dash (25.12), and a fourth place finish (5 points) in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.34. 

In the high jump, Kiana Herold '17 registered a jump of 1.60 meters to finish tied for eighth overall and earn half a point. In the 800-meter race, Kelli Ellingson '15 clocked a time of 2:20.40. 

The Jeffs wrap up the season at the 2015 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships May 21-23.
