MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - Keri Lambert '13 (Amherst, Mass.) placed first in both the 800-meter run and the steeplechase to lead the Amherst women's outdoor track & field team at the Little Three Championships.
Turning in the fastest Division III time this season, Lambert finished the steeplechase in 10:33.49, while edging out Williams' Olivia Delia (2:17.21) in the 800m with a time of 2:17.08.
Abraelle Shirley '15 (Hawthorne, Calif.) led Amherst's sprinters, turning in a personal record 12.89 en route to a second-place finish in the 100-meter dash, while Lauren Almeida '13 (Reading, Mass.) paced the Jeffs' mid-distance corps with a personal record 4:44.21 in the 1500m run. Liz Briskin '15 (Sherborn, Mass.) placed fourth in the event (4:51.05), while Lisa Walker '14 (Superior, Colo.) and Olivia Tarantino '15 (Summit, N.J.) each put forth personal bests with times of 4:52.86 and 4:56.58, respectively.
Jamila Odeh '13 (Dexter, Mich.) shaved 25 seconds off her personal record in the 5000m, clocking in at 19:28.22, while Jordan Roehl (Portales, N.M.) led Amherst in the field events, finishing second in the javelin (18.92m) and third in the hammer (37.29m).
The Ephs took home the top team honor with 158 points, followed by the host Cardinals (109) and the Jeffs (91) in second and third, respectively.
Amherst returns to action on Saturday, Apr. 28 at Bates for the NESCAC Championships.
