LISLE, IL – Junior Shauneen Garrahan (Fairfax Station, VA) sped to a fourth-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase to lead the Amherst College women's outdoor track and field team at the NCAA Division III Championship meet, hosted by Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill. over the weekend. The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh claimed the women's team title, while the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse took home the men's team crown.

Garrahan competed in the 5,000-meter run as well, where she finished 16th overall, just three spots back from sophomore teammate Kim Partee (Brentwood, TN), who earned 13th-place with a time of 17:45.22. Partee also grabbed 10th-place in the 10,000-meter run in 36:43.48, while fellow sophomore Heather Wilson (Danvers, MA) picked up 17th-place in 38:53.79.
