GREENCASTLE, IN - The Amherst women's indoor track team's Distance Medley Relay delegation picked up seventh place and All-America honors on Friday night at the NCAA Division III Women's 2003 Championship at Depauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. Senior tri-captain Kate Hamill (New York, NY), first-years Jessamyn Connell-Price (Palo Alto, CA) and Lyndsey Scott (West Orange, NJ), and sophomore Carter Hamill (Richmond, VA) combined for a time of 11:58.68, a new school record. Wartburg College took first place in the Distance Medley Relay, and the Williams College foursome edged out a fourth-place time.

On Saturday, defending national champion Carter Hamill powered her way to yet another All-American finish, this time with a sixth-place showing in the 5,000-meter run. Hamill's 17:09.14 also gave her the rights to her second school record-breaking performance of the weekend. SUNY-Geneseo senior Melissa White won the event, and Williams' first-year Caroline Cretti mustered a third-place finish.
