Women's Outdoor Track Notches 20th at New England Championships

DEDHAM, MA-The Amherst College women's outdoor track team finished in 20th place out of a strong 32-team field at last weekend's New England Track and Field Championships, hosted by Northeastern University. Amherst amassed 8 points on the three-day meet. The University of Connecticut came out on top with 134 points, and host Northeastern notched 95 points, good for second place. 

First-year phenom Carter Hamill (Richmond, VA) put together the top performance for the Jeffs, taking second place in the 5000-meter run. Junior Laurel Kilgour (Clifton Park, NY) came across the line, grabbing ninth place in the 800-meter run, while senior Annie Perez (Chappaqua, NY) notched 11th place.
