The doubles team of Ghosh and Ip has been stellar all season long for Amherst as the pair collected First Team All-NESCAC honors. Ip was also named to the first team in singles action, while Ghosh earned her second straight second team all-conference selection.
The duo reached the semifinals of the USTA/ITA New England Championship and the final of the NEWITT Tournament. This season, they have established a record of 19-7 at the No. 1 position for the Jeffs and will compete in the doubles tournament of the NCAA Championships.
Ip also posted a terrific 16-8 mark in singles action to help Amherst earn an at-large berth in the NCAA Team Championship. Earlier in the season, she reached the quarterfinal round of the USTA/ITA New England Regional Championship and the final of the NEWITT Tournament en route to being chosen to compete in the singles tournament at the NCAA Championships.
Ghosh landed on the Second Team in singles for the second straight year after posting an impressive 17-6 record from the No. 2 singles position.
The No. 7 Amherst women's tennis team returns to the postseason tournament for the 21st consecutive season, and received a first round bye for the 12th year in a row. The Jeffs are 53-24 all-time in 20 appearances with one national championship (1999) and five national runner-up finishes (2004, '07, '09, '11, '14).
