AMHERST, MA - The Amherst College women's tennis team powered its way to a 9-0 sweep over Skidmore College on Sunday, bringing the Amherst record to 2-0 following Saturday's impressive 9-0 run over NESCAC foe Trinity College. First-year Kristin Raverta (W. Springfield, MA) paced the Jeff lineup with a 6-0, 6-1 performance against Dawn Penniston in the first singles spot. Skidmore's Christine Gale put up a good fight against Amherst senior co-captain Roopali Agarwal (Boxford, MA). Gale brought Agarwal to 7-6, 6-3 before Agarwal notched the victory.

The Jeffs also dominated the doubles pairings. Sophomores Rachel Holt (New York, NY) and Tristan Hedrick (Walnut Creek, CA) combined to take home the first doubles match, 8-2. Jeff doubles pairings - Raverta and senior co-captain Paige Lawrence (Katy, TX), and junior Wallis Molchen (Wilmington, DE) and Agarwal - also came through with respective 8-1 and 8-2 wins.
