Jeffs Upset Two-Time Defending National Champ Williams, 6-3

AMHERST, MA – Behind a three-match sweep in doubles play, the Amherst College women's tennis team upset two-time defending national champion Williams College 6-3 on Saturday. First-year Kristen Raverta (W. Springfield, MA), sophomore Rachel Holt (New York, NY) and senior co-captain Paige Lawrence (Katy, TX) each posted singles victories and contributed to doubles wins for the Jeffs, who improved to 7-1 on the season. 

Williams is now 4-1 overall. 

Amherst will wrap up its fall slate next weekend (Fri-Sun), hosting the New England Championships.
