Amherst Blows Past Colby

WATERVILLE, Maine -- Forced indoors by heavy rain, the Colby College Women's Tennis team had a rough day against the Lord Jeffs of Amherst, losing 9-0. The visiting Lord Jeffs also took all four exhibition matches, as Colby won only two sets all day.
Number one singles player Kim Cheah (Penang, Malaysia) lost for only the third time this year, falling in a three-set battle, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3. The only other set won by the White Mules all day came in the number six singles match, as Kendra Shank (Edina, Minn.) fell 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.
