SHENANDOAH, Texas – The Amherst College women's swimming & diving team has scored 94 points through two days of action and currently sits in sixth place at the 2015 NCAA Division III Championships at the Conroe ISD Natatorium in Shenandoah, Texas.
Emory holds the lead after two days of competition with 323.50 points. Denison (252), Williams (213), Kenyon (195) and Johns Hopkins round out the top five schools.
Amherst began the day in the 200-yard freestyle relay when the combination of Sabrina Lee '15, Sarah Conklin '16, Stephanie Ternullo '15 and Ashleigh Stoddart '15 clocked a time of 1:36.10 and finished 15th overall.
In the 100-yard butterfly, Conklin clocked a time of 54.66 and finished in second place just behind Williams' Emma Waddell who tabbed a time of 53.65.
In the 200-yard freestyle, Stoddart and Ternullo competed in the consolation finals and finished 11th and 12th respectively overall with times of 1:50.84 and 1:51.07.
Amherst returns to action on Friday, March 20 with preliminaries beginning at 10 a.m. and the finals starting at 6 p.m.
