    The Amherst College swimming and diving teams kicked off their 2011-12 seasons by combining to win all 32 events during Saturday’s dual meet at Colby College. The Lord Jeff women recorded a 173-93 victory, while the men were credited with a 179-94 win.
  • Jeffs in Search of 10th Straight NCAA Top-10 Finish

    This November marks the beginning of the 35th season for the Amherst College women’s swimming and diving program. The Lord Jeffs are coming off a 9th-place showing at the NCAA Championship, but more than half of the 121 points they earned at the national meet are not returning this winter. Notably, Amherst will be without 2011 NCAA Swimmer of the Year Kendra Stern ’11 and NESCAC Diver of the Year Meggie Meisinger ’11, two of the most accomplished Lord Jeffs in program history.

    Last Tuesday, the Amherst College swim teams took part in the sixth annual Ted Mullin Hour of Power Relay for Sarcoma Research to raise awareness and generate funds for research involving finding treatments and cures for sarcoma, a rare form of soft-tissue cancer.
