SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. - The No. 18 Amherst College women's squash team earned an 8-1 victory Wednesday over No. 31 Mount Holyoke College at the Kendall Squash Courts in South Hadley, Mass.
With the win, Amherst improves to 9-7 on the season and returns to action Friday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. when it hosts St. Lawrence University at the Davenport Squash Courts.
Against Mount Holyoke, court saw Priya Sinha '19 suffer a setback in a five-set thriller, 7-11, 11-6, 11-3, 8-11, 11-6, to give Mount Holyoke its lone win.
Rachael Ang '19 defeated her opponent, 3-1 (12-14, 11-7, 11-7, 12-10) on court two. On courts one, four, five, six, seven, eight, and nine, the Purple & White recorded sweeps as Kimberly Krayacich '18, Caroline Conway '20, Katy Sabina Correia '20, Jenna Finkelstein '20, Jenni Bown '20, Mae Cromwell '18, and Emma Crowe '19 helped seal the sweep.
