No. 17 Women's Squash Sweeps Northeastern, 9-0

AMHERST, Mass. - The No. 17 Amherst College women's squash team earned a 9-0 sweep of club side Northeastern University Sunday afternoon at the Davenport Squash Courts.

With the win, Amherst improves to 2-2 overall, while Northeastern moves to 4-4 on the season. The Purple & White return to action Friday-Sunday, Jan. 20-22 when they host the Pioneer Valley Invitational at the Davenport Squash Courts.

Amherst earned nine straight-set victories against Northeastern on Sunday, as Kimberly Krayacich '18 (11-6, 11-1, 11-4), Rachael Ang '19 (11-6, 11-5, 11-4), and Priya Sinha '19 (11-4, 11-0, 11-8) picked up wins on courts one, two and three.

On court four, Caroline Conway '20 logged an 11-2, 11-0, 11-3 win, while Haley McAtee '18 secured a sweep by scores of 11-2, 11-1, and 11-3 on court five. In the sixth position, Katy Sabina Correia '20 posted an 11-3, 11-4, 11-1 victory.

Jenna Finkelstein '20 swept her opponent, 11-3, 11-3, 11-3 on court seven, Mae Cromwell '18 notched an 11-4, 11-3, 11-2 win on court eight, and Jenni Bown '20 downed her opponent, 11-3, 11-3, 11-2 on court nine. In exhibition play on court 10, Emma Crowe '19 earned an 11-2, 11-2, 11-5 win.
