No. 17 Women’s Squash Edged by No. 15 Middlebury, 7-2

AMHERST, Mass. – No. 17 Amherst College women's squash fell to No. 15 Middlebury College, 7-2 in Wednesday afternoon's contest at the Davenport Squash Courts. 

With the loss, Amherst moves to 1-2 on the season, while Middlebury improves to 5-2 overall. The Purple & White return to action Sunday, Jan. 15 when they host Northeastern at 11:30 a.m. at the Davenport Squash Courts.

Rachael Ang '19 earned a four-set win on court two, defeating Annie Glassie, 11-7, 11-7, 2-11, 11-8, while Jenna Finkelstein '20 posted logged a win on court seven in five sets. She defeated Caroline Jahrling, 11-6, 11-6, 6-11, 6-11, 11-6.

Middlebury earned sweeps on courts one, and eight, and four set wins on courts four and five. Caroline Conway '20 fell in five sets (6-11, 11-3, 3-11, 11-8, 11-7) on court three to Alexa Comai, while Jenni Bown '20 fell in five sets (12-10, 13-15, 16-14, 10-12, 11-5) to Natasha Lowitt.
