HADLEY, Mass. – Amherst College women's squash players Rachael Ang '19 and Kimberley Krayacich '18 were each named All-NESCAC for the first time in their collegiate careers as announced by the league office Thursday afternoon.
Ang turned in a solid rookie season competing primarily from the second position en route to a First Team All-NESCAC nod. Ang tallied a 9-7 overall mark including a stretch of six straight wins between Jan. 15 and Jan. 31. Five of Ang's nine victories this season came by way of a 3-0 triumph, and posted a 4-3 record in matches that went more than three frames.
Also a first time all-conference honoree, Krayacich earned Second Team All-NESCAC recognition after spending the majority of the season in the first spot. The Chatham, N.J. native registered a 6-10 overall mark, and wrapped up play at the CSA Women's National Team Championships with a 2-1 tally, helping the Purple & White advance to their third consecutive Walker Cup (C Division) title contest.
