WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Amherst College women's squash team split a pair of matches Saturday in the NESCAC Championships hosted by Williams College and is now 9-6 overall.
In the first of two matches, the fifth-seeded and nationally-ranked No. 17 Jeffs dropped a 6-3 decision to fourth-seeded and No. 16 Bates in quarterfinal action.
Dropping into the consolation round, the Jeffs rebounded against eighth-seeded Colby College, winning by a score of 6-3.
Aggarwal and Johnson both picked up their second win of the day from the same spots as they swept their opponents once again. Haley McAtee '18 won the final two sets on court No. 3, 11-6 and 11-4, to win in five sets. Tiana Palmer-Poroner '17, Taryn Clary '16, and Meyha Sud '15 all won their matches in four sets, on courts No. 4, 6 and 7, respectively.
The Jeffs return to action tomorrow, Feb. 8 and will face sixth-seeded Hamilton at 9 a.m.
