  • Milbourn, Warner Earn All-NESCAC Second Team Honors

    The New England Small College Athletic Conference named Amherst College juniors Hayley Milbourn (Baltimore, MD) and Brian Warner (Atlanta, GA) to the 2010 Women’s and Men's Squash All-Conference Second Teams this afternoon. While this marks Warner's first postseason honor, Milbourn was also named to the Second Team last year.
  • Amherst Wins Out in Consolation Bracket at 2010 CSAs

    The Amherst College women’s squash team entered the 2010 CSA Championships seeded 14th, and playing in the Kurtz Cup (B Division) among a handful of familiar foes. The Lord Jeffs were edged in a heart-breaker by Bates College 5-4 in the opening round, but won a pair of matches 6-3 to win out in the consolation bracket.

    The Amherst College women’s squash team will head to Yale University for this weekend’s 2010 College Squash Association National Team Championships. Competition will begin Friday, Feb. 26, with a 4:30 p.m. match against Bates College, and will conclude Sunday, Feb. 28.

    The Amherst College men's and women's squash teams split a pair of matches to close out the final day of the 2010 NESCAC Championships on the campus of Trinity College. The men's team fell to Middlebury 7-2 this morning, while the women's squad topped Hamilton 6-3.

On both sides, Amherst fell to Williams, but topped Wesleyan to place second overall.

    The Amherst College squash teams opened the 2010 Smith/Mount Holyoke Invitational by splitting a pair of matches with Franklin & Marshall College. The Lord Jeff women earned a 7-2 win over the Diplomats, while the Amherst men were dealt a loss by the same score.

    The Amherst College men’s and women’s squash teams opened up the 2009-10 season on Wednesday evening with a pair of road wins over Northeastern University. The Amherst men topped the Huskies 6-3, while the Lord Jeff women picked up a 7-2 win.
