    The Amherst College squash programs were represented at the College Squash Association Individual Championships by senior co-captain Caroline Shannon (Hanover, NH) on the women’s side and senior co-captain Auloke Mathur (Mumbai, India) on the men’s.

    The Amherst College women’s squash team ended its team play for 2006-07 season this weekend at Yale University finishing second in the Walker Cup after falling to William Smith College in the championship match.

    The Amherst College women’s squash team won their NESCAC Tournament opener this evening when they blanked the 9th-seeded Tufts University squad. The win moves Amherst one round further into the conference tournament, and improves its season record to 6-8.

    The Amherst College women’s squash team closed out the weekend by blanking Wellesley College 9-0 in Saturday’s first game and nearly pulling out another victory against William Smith College in the second game, but the Jeffs fell 5-4 to the visiting Herons to move to 5-8 on the season.

    The Amherst College squash teams both dropped decisions to the visiting Bears of Brown University this afternoon at Davenport Courts on the Campus of Amherst College. The 7th ranked Brown women took a 9-0 win over the Lord Jeffs, while the Brown men squeaked out a 6-3 win over Amherst.

    The Amherst College men's and women's squash teams both fell at the hands of national powerhouse Dartmouth College this evening, with the women's team losing 9-0 and the men's side falling 8-1. Sophomore Jerome Giovinazzo (Staten Island, NY) was the lone Lord Jeff to pick up a win on the night, pulling out a victory in the number eight spot.

    The Amherst College women’s squash team played a pair of matches at the Yale University Invitational, defeating Conn. College 7-2 before falling to Bowdoin College 7-2. The Lord Jeffs move to 3-4 on the season and resume play Jan. 17 at Dartmouth College.
