HADLEY, Mass. - Amherst College senior midfielder Claire Cagnassola was named the NESCAC Player of the Week in women's lacrosse as announced by the league office on Monday.
Cagnassola earned her first weekly honor of the season after helping Amherst to a 2-0 week that featured a 16-3 win over Keene State College, and an 11-9 win over Bates College in NESCAC action.
Cagnassola scored three goals and notched three assists in the win over the Owls in Keene, N.H. and added three more tallies and an assit in the league win over the Bobcats. Cagnassola also provided two ground balls, three draw controls, and caused a turnover during the week.
Amherst returns to action Friday, March 17 when it hosts Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) in non-conference action at 12 p.m. at Pratt Field at Lehrman Stadium.
