Savage's Clutch Play Lands NESCAC Player of the Week Honors

NESCAC RELEASE

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – Senior forward Katie Savage of the Amherst College women's hockey team has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week following clutch play on the ice this past weekend.

Spearheading back-to-back, come-from-behind wins over Bowdoin, Savage scored the game-winning goal with 4:35 remaining in regulation to lift Amherst to a 3-2 win in game one of the series before netting the game-tying marker in game two to spark a three-goal third period and propel the Mammoths to victory.

With three goals on the winter, the Amston, Conn. native ranks third on the team in the category.

Savage and the Mammoths return to action this Friday, Jan. 18 when they travel to Colby College for a 7 p.m. battle.
