  • Amherst Places 111 Student-Athletes on All-Academic Team, Eight Named All-Sportsmanship Selections

    HADLEY, Mass. - Last Friday, 111 Amherst College student-athletes were named to the 2019 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Winter All-Academic team for their success in the classroom, while eight Mammoths were named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.

The first of two matchups on the day, Amherst will hit the ice on Saturday, March 2 at 1 p.m. at Lansing Chapman Rink in Williamstown, Mass.

Stafford Ice Arena.

    Three different Mammoths found the back of the net in a strong all around team effort, as the Amherst College women’s hockey team overpowered No. 6/4 Norwich University, 3-1 Tuesday evening at Kreitzberg Arena. It is the first time the Mammoths have downed the Cadets since the 2015-16 season.
