Amherst's Harrington Named NESCAC Women's Hockey Player of the Week

AMHERST, MA- Amherst College first-year Lindsey Harrington (Westford, MA/Westford Acad.) was named the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women's hockey player of the week on Monday after having a hand in all five of the Jeffs' goals over the weekend.

On Friday at Hamilton College, she dished out a trio of assists in a thrilling 3-2 overtime victory, and followed with both Amherst goals in a narrow 3-2 loss at Trinity College. Harrington stands at seventh in the conference in points (13) and is tied for fifth in goals (seven) and 10th in assists (six). She's also the second highest scoring rookie in the NESCAC and is tied for third in power-play goals. Harrington leads Amherst in point scoring and assists, while tying for tops in power-play tallies and ranking second in goals.

Amherst returns to action Wednesday at 7 p.m. at non-conference rival Holy Cross.
