Jeffs Win Third Straight, Edge New England College 3-2 in Overtime

HENNIKER, NH - Sophomore forward Renee Sisti (Coventry, CT) scored the game-tying goal in the final minute of regulation and the game-winner in overtime as the Amherst College women's hockey team upped its record to 6-5 with a dramatic 3-2 non-league win at New England College (5-5-2) on Wednesday night.

Trailing 2-1 with just 26 seconds left in regulation, Sisti took a power-play feed from classmate Amanda Mattei (Windsor, CT) and sent the game into overtime with her third goal of the season. Rookie forward Alena Harrison (Westwood, MA) also assisted on the play. Sisti then sealed the win with an unassisted tally 2:31 into the extra session, giving the Jeffs their second win in as many nights after Tuesday's 6-3 non-league win at St. Michael's.

Sisti, along with first-year defender Meghan Dickoff (Minnetonka, MN), also assisted on Amherst's first goal of the game, a wrister by first-year Emily Cronin (Arlington, MA) that tied the score at 1-1 just over two minutes into the second period.

Amherst first-year Lindsay Grabowski (Princeton, NJ) racked up 30 saves en route to the win.

Amherst returns to action Tuesday at 7 p.m. at NESCAC foe Connecticut College.
