Women's Hockey Pounds Cross-Town Rival UMass, 10-4

AMHERST, MA - Junior tri-captain forward Danielle Williams (Needham, MA) tallied a hat trick and an assist while sophomore forwards Tory Serues (Cambridge, MA) and Katie Potter (Ridgewoood, NJ) each netted a pair of goals as the Amherst College women's hockey team won an exhibition game against cross-town rival UMass-Amherst, 10-4, Wednesday night at Orr Rink.

Williams notched what turned out to be the game-winner 10:05 into the first period. The Jeffs placed six different players in the scoring column, including Williams, Serues, Potter, sophomore Alison White (Brookline, MA), first-years Annie Grabowski (Princeton, NJ) and Ellie Roe (Edina, MN).

First-year goaltender K.C. Cosentino (Greenwich, CT) played the entire game for Amherst, posting 9 saves. The Jeffs outshot UMass, 63-13.

Amherst returns to action this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. for another exhibition game against visiting Boston University.
