WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Amherst's women's golf team finished the Williams Fall Invitational in third place with a combined score of 633 after the two days of competition at Taconic Golf Club.
Junior Morgan Yurosek '20 led the Mammoths as she shot an 80 on day one, but finished day two with a 71 mark for a combined 151, placing her second overall in the tournament. India Gaume '22 finished tied for ninth overall as she carded a 76 on day two for a combined 157 on the weekend. Isabelle Ouyang '21 matched Gaume for a combined 157 after 36 holes. The final Mammoth to contribute was Jessica Jeong '20 who carded an 84 on both days to combine for 168.
Amherst finished with a 323 on day one, shooting 13 strokes better on day two for a 310 mark. The Mammoths final score of 633 was only eight strokes behind Williams College who finished in second place, and only eleven behind New York University who took the win. Wellesley College took fourth place as they sat sixteen strokes behind the Purple and White.
