Women's Golf Sits in Sixth After Day 1 at Vassar

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- After one day of play at the Vassar College Invitational, the Amherst College women's golf team is in sixth place at Casperkill Golf Club.

Zoe Wong '18 leads the way with a first-round 81 and she currently sits in a tie for 11th place overall.

Morgan Yurosek '20 shot an 83, and Isabelle Ouyang '21 was just a stroke off of that pace, as they both feature in the top 25 as well.

Sophomore Emily Young's 86 is good for a T-32, while Lily Worden '21 sits in 41st place with a first-round 90.

Amherst sits just two strokes behind hosts Vassar College in the 11-team field. NYU leads Williams College by three strokes heading to the final day.
