No. 9 Women's Golf Claims Second at NESCAC Championship

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Mammoths carded a 307-317-624 to place tied for second at the Williams Fall Invitational and second overall in NESCAC Championship competition at the Taconic Golf Club this past weekend.

With the second place finish, Amherst closes out its fall slate and will take the winter to prepare for its spring schedule beginning in April.

TOP-MAMMOTH: Jessica Jeong '20 (3rd - 152)

Finishing 10-over-par, Jeong carded a day one score of 73 and notched a 79 on day two to pace the Mammoths and placed third overall (152).

Morgan Yurosek '20 and Isabelle Ouyang '21 also registered top-10 finishes, with Yurosek cutting two strokes of her day one score to card a 78-76-154 and place fifth overall. Ouyang finished tied for ninth after logging a 75 on day one and a 82 on day two (157).

With a 81-80-161 mark, Zoe Wong '18 tied for 21st, while Emily Young '20 finished tied for 45th overall behind a two day score of 172 (84-88).

Lily Worden '21 and Serena Lee '21 competed as individuals at the invitational, with Worden carding a 79-81-160 to tie for 15th overall, while Lee placed tied for 54th with an 85-93-178 mark.
